Present simple
Third-person -s, questions and negatives.
The rules
- Third person singular (he/she/it) adds -s in the present simple: "he works".
- After "does", the main verb returns to its base form: "Does she like…?"
- Facts and general truths use the present simple: "water boils".
- Frequency adverbs like "usually" go before the main verb.
- "Doesn't" already carries the -s, so the main verb stays base: "doesn't watch".
- Timetables and schedules use the present simple: "the train leaves at 8:15".
