show, suggest, indicate, claim, highlight
The rules
- "more research is needed" means the evidence is not strong: "suggests".
- No data: she only says it, so "claims".
- "highlight" takes a direct object, with no preposition.
- "demonstrate" means the evidence clearly proves it.
- "indicate that" + a full clause.
- Subject + reporting verb + object.
