The rules

  • "deny" is followed by the -ing form.
  • "promise" is followed by "to" + verb.
  • The pattern is "accuse someone of + -ing".
  • "advise someone not to do": "not" goes before "to".
  • "promise + to do".
  • "suggest" is followed by the -ing form.
