other, another, others

• "Another" = one more / a different one, always with singular nouns.
• Standing alone as a pronoun, the plural is "others". "Anothers" does not exist.
• "Another" + number + plural noun is allowed as a chunk: "another three chairs".
• The second of exactly two takes "the other".
• Reciprocal actions: "each other".
• "Another" + period of time = an additional period: "another ten minutes".

• This shirt is too small, can I try another one?
• Some people love winter; others prefer summer.
• We need another three chairs.
• One of my brothers is a teacher; the other brother is a chef.
• They helped each other.
• I'll be there in another ten minutes.
