was and were
The past of am, is and are.
The rules
- With "I", the past of "am" is "was".
- With "we", the past of "are" is "were".
- You + were: "Were you tired?"
- "The film" = it, so: wasn’t.
- We say "was/were born". Parents = they, so "were".
- Question: Where + were + you…?
