Say what is in a place.

The rules

  • One supermarket: "There is".
  • More than one: "There are".
  • "Milk" is uncountable, so use "Is there…?"
  • "chairs" is plural: there aren’t any chairs.
  • Plural noun ("two cafés") goes with "there are".
  • Question form: Is there + a + noun?
